We all have elderly family members who have had to wait on a hospital trolley in Galway University Hospital when they are ill. This is not fair on the patients and their families and equally it is completely unfair on our hospital staff who want to deliver first class healthcare.

As the numbers on trolleys increase greater pressure is placed on our hospitals.

We need to alleviate this pressure.

Sinn Féin would increase the capacity in our hospitals and also increase the numbers of Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Professionals that we train so that all our hospitals can deliver the service that the workers in the service seek to deliver.
