The housing crisis is impacting on all families across Galway, be it the person paying record high rents, the young family living in their parents’ home while trying to raise a family of their own, the pensioner who has been on the Housing Waiting List for 10+ years with no offer of a permanent home or the children who’s childhood memories are based in the various B&Bs they have lived in as a result of homelessness.

We deserve better.

Sinn Féin would deliver ambitious social and affordable housing targets which will alleviate the pressure on the rental sector and provide much needed homes. Workers and families need a break when it comes to sky high rents. Sinn Féin would put a months rent back in their pockets and ban rent increases for a three year period.
