Local Political Follow Ups:
- Again asked the Minister for Housing to issue a circular to Councils on how to deal with inter-Council HAP tenants with NTQs
- Followed up again for frontline healthcare workers who’s COVID bonus payment is still outstanding
- Queried the Minister for Education about schemes for school transport in rural areas
- Followed up on improvements that are needed for our rural bus system
Engagements:
- Attended the launch of the new BusConnects bus network for Galway – delighted to see a 24hr bus service will finally be provided
- Discussed issues relating to employment in universities with IFUT
- Attended the Galway City Joint Policing Committee
- Met the Finnish Ambassador who was visiting Galway to discuss issues that are affecting both our countries

Dáil Work:
- Asked the Taoiseach if Niall Collins would be answering questions in the Dáil about the sale of land in County Limerick
- Highlighted the impact the housing crisis is having on employment in Galway, with 80% of businesses reporting the lack of housing impacting on hiring, 90% when it comes to tech companies, and 70% of businesses reporting that the housing crisis is impacting on their retention
- Raised the ongoing injustice of the evictions in Caisleán Rí in Athenry
- On the Committee for Higher Education I engaged with Officials from the Departments of Education and Higher Education in relation to the teaching of STEM – science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
